Public Expenditure Management Peer Assisted Learning network (PEMPAL) facilitates exchange of professional experience and knowledge transfer among public finance management (PFM) practitioners across the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) countries. The network aims to contribute to strengthening PFM practices in the member countries through disseminating information on good PFM practices and their application.
PEMPAL work is organized in 3 Communities of Practice (COPs):
Budget Community of Practices supports member countries in reforms to improve budget effectiveness and accountability. IA COP offers support to its member countries in establishing modern and effective Internal Audit system that meets international standards and best practices and is a key for good governance and accountability in the public sector.

PEMPAL Treasury Community of Practice supports and enables promotion of public financial management reforms in PEMPAL member countries, focusing on reforms of the national treasuries' activities, offers quality resources and knowledge services on topics of priority professional interest for TCOP members, develops and maintains a highly professional community of treasury experts across PEMPAL member countries.
