BCOP 2025 Plenary Meeting

The Budget Community of Practice (BCOP) of the Public Expenditure Management Peer-Assisted Learning network (PEMPAL) will hold its annual plenary meeting in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on May 13-15.
The general objective of the BCOP 2025 Annual Plenary Meeting is to provide the opportunity for BCOP member countries to examine and discuss members’ priority budgeting topics and to plan BCOP’s future activities.
Specific objectives are to:
- learn about Tajikistan’s PFM system and budgeting practices and reforms;
- examine ways to effectively use performance information from performance budgeting for decision-making (including the presentation of the new BCOP’s knowledge product on this topic and gathering feedback of the participants before finalizing and publishing it);
- learn about improving/modernizing budget openness and public engagement;
- get familiarized with the new and innovative impact-focused approaches to gender-responsive budgeting; and
- share BCOP’s activities and results, update the members on planning for PEMPAL beyond 2025 and collect member countries’ feedback on their future priority topics.
