This success story demonstrates that continuous focus of the PEMPAL Treasury Community of Practice on the approaches to developing integrated financial management information systems (IFMIS) made a significant impact on promoting the integration of core treasury systems with other government systems. Access to international best practices and peer-to-peer learning helped eleven PEMPAL countries in designing and implementing integrated PFM solutions. IFMIS helps national treasuries to better plan for cash outflows, streamline treasury controls, reduce fraud risks, improve payment timeliness, reduce the risk of arrears, and project inflows in the treasury single account more accurately.
