TCOP Study Visit to Ministry of Finance of Austria
The TCOP study visit brought together 14 participants from 7 PEMPAL member countries, the World Bank, PEMPAL Secretariat and PEMPAL interpreters’ team.
Seven members of TCOP Executive Committee and two leaders of TCOP thematic groups attended the study visit to Ministry of Finance of Austria which was organized on January 28-30, 2015. The study visit’s agenda envisaged to combine the meetings at the Ministry of Finance of Austria, with the sessions devoted to the future TCOP activities planning and preparation.
The main objective of the visit was to introduce to TCOP members the experiences of Austria in reforming the PFM system in general, and in particular in accrual budgeting, accrual accounting, IPSAS implementation, Austrian opening balance sheet and the federal financial statement. On the Day 1 the presentations were delivered by Mr Philipp Lust, Mr Patrick Kainz, Mr Bernhard Schatz and Ms Friederike Schwarzendorfer, while the Day 2 was focused to IT topics which were presented by Mr Christian Ihle and Mr Thomas Knap.
After the visit at the Ministry of Finance TCOP Executive Committee held the meeting, devoted to discussions of TCOP 2013-2015 activity plan implementation and issues related to the TCOP 2015 plenary meeting preparation.
